This is one of the most popular tour we operate from Kathmandu. Travelers who have limited time frame can take this tour with us. This your takes you to Lhasa via the Kathmandu - Lhasa high way (the friendship high way). One the way, we visit Sakya Monastery, Shigatse, Shalu Monastery and Gyrates.

We will make a two days guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa that covers all the historical monuments. On the day 8th, we drop you to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu.

This tour can handle either single traveler or for the groups as per your interest.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Kodari (4 hrs.) after immigration farmalities in Zhangmu-2300 m, continue drive to Nyalam-3450m

Day 2: Drive from Nyalam to Lhatse, visit Milarepa's cave enroute

Day 3: Lhatse - Shigatse (3900 m.) tour via Sakya . Overnight Hotel
En route, visit Shakya Monastery before crossing the Lalung-La (4500 m) and continuing across the plains to Shigatse.

Day 4: Shigatse - Shalu Monastery - Gyantse (3950 m.) tour. Overnight Hotel
After visiting the Tashilimpu Monastery, it's a short drive to Gyantse with its amazing sights - Khumbum, Palkor Chode Monastery and Gyantse Dzong.

Day 5: Gyantse - Lhasa (3650 m.) tour
The highlight of this day is the beautiful turquoise lake, Yamdruk - Tso. After crossing the Kamba- La and the Yarlung (Brahmaputra) River, the journey ends in Lhasa.

Day 6: Lhasa Sightseeing ( Morning visit Potala palace Afternoon visit Sera Monastery)

Day 7: Lhasa Sightseeing ( Morning visit Jokhang temple and Barkhor Street Afternoon visit Drepung Monastery )

Day 8: Transfer to the airport and fly out.

Note: We operate this tour every Tuesday and Saturday from April to October and Saturday  from November to April on group joining basis.
