Lhasa to Kashgar from Beijing

Beijing - Lhasa - Kailash - Kashgar The following tour to Beijing, Lhasa and Kailash can be finish either in Kashgar or Beijing as per your intrest. We have included some days sightseeing in Beijing and flight to Lhasa. if you are intrested to take Trans himalayan train to Lhasa it is also possible which will take 2 extra days then the following programme. You will also visit Manasorovar, do the Kora of Mt. Kailash for 3 days like the usual Kailash programmes.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Beijing
Arrive Beijing in the afternoon. Welcome to the capital of China. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to hotel.

Day 02: Beijing Sightseeing
Visit Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. Dinner followed by Peking Opera performance.

Day 03: Beijing Sightseeing
Full day excursion to the mighty Great wall and Ming Tombs. A Peking Duck dinner is planned.

Day 04: Depart to Lhasa
Depart via morning flight and on arrival our local guide transfer to hotel.

Day 05: Lhasa
The first must-see in Tibet is the Potala Palace, which used to be the home of the Dalai Lamas. Sightseeing highlights also include Jokhang Lamasery and Drepung Monastery.

Day 06: Lhasa - Gyantse
Drive to Gyantse(254Km) enroute visit Baiju Temple, enjoy the view of Karela Glacier.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Gyantse - Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse (87Km) after breakfast, stop at Lake Yam Drok Tso for lunch. Arrive Shigatse in the afternoon and transfer to hotel.

Day 08: Shigatse - Lhatse
Drive to Lhatse (157Km), enroute visit Saga temple, Hot Spring. Overnigt stay at hotel.

Day 09: Lhatse - Saga
Drive to Saga (293Km), enroute enjoy the view of Yarluzangbu River, Overnigt stay at guest house.

Day 10: Saga -Paryang
Drive to Paryang (245Km), today we will cross the no mans land where we can enjoy the wild land scapes of the source of the Yarluzangbu river. Overnight camping.

Day 11: Paryang -Mansarovar
Drive to Mansarovar (284Km).Overnight camping.

Day 12: Mansarovar - Mt.Kailash
Sightseeing around the Mansarovar and Mt.Kailash. Overnigt camping.

Day 13: Mt.Kailash - Zada
Drive to Zada (249Km). Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 14: Zada -Zabrang
Drive to Zabrang. Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 15: Zabrang -Shichuanhe
Drive to Shichuanhe (119Km). Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 16: Shichuanhe - Ritu
Drive to Ritu. 127Km. Overnigt camping.

Day 17: Ritu - Hongliutan
Drive to Hongliutan. 350Km.Overnigt camping.

Day 18: Hongliutan - Kargilik (Yecheng)
Drive to Kargilik (Yecheng) 385KM.Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 19: Kargilik - Kashgar
Drive to Kashgar, 216KM. Overnigt stay at hotel.

Day 20: Kashgar
Situated at the foot of the impressive Pamir mountains, Kashgar was once the key trading post bridging the East and the West. Largely inhabited by the Uygurs, this ancient city is dotted with Muslin architecture and still retains the exotic feel of the Silk Road era. We will visit Kashgar's lively markets, which attract thousands of people from the far corners of the region. They come here to sell, bargain, and trade everything ranging from camels to raisins. Our sightseeing tour will also include the Id Kha Mosque and the tomb of Abjak Hoja. Our tour includes the tombs of Abakh Hoja, the famous Eidgah Mosque and the most unique old town with typical Uyghur styled homes. We visit the various shopping alleys full of noodle shops, bakeries, teashops, blacksmiths and carpenters. Time has stood still - try a local taxi, which is a donkey cart.

Day 21: Kashgar - Urumqi
Today we will have a free day, allowing you to explore Kashgar's old quarter, home to a fascinating mix of ethnicities - Uygurs, Tajiks, Kyrgyz and Uzbeks - or visit one of Kashgar's many other sights. In the evening we will take a flight back to Urumqi.

Day 22: Urumqi - Beijing
Fly back to Beijing. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 23: Beijing - Home
Transfer to Airport for homebound flight to departure from Beijing.
